Everything is Embarrassing (MK remix)

Everything is Embarrassing, the product of LA based singer / songwriter Sky Ferreira is one of those perfect examples of a track that no matter who attempts to remix it just sounds good every time. A couple of weeks ago we were treated to Irishman Krystal Klear’s stunningly atmospheric house mix of the track.

Next up to the plate is legendary house producer and remixer Marc ‘MK’ Kinchen. The Detroit born MK, famed for early 90’s vocal house anthem’s ‘Burning’ and ‘Always’ who dived head first back into the house music scene in 2010 after a lengthy stint producing for the likes of Will Smith and Pitbull, had a killer 2012 which included remixes of Lana Del Rey and one of our favourite tracks from last year, Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’.

His take on Ferreira’s gloomy blog hit, features Kinchen’s signature vocal cut with a slightly more melodic retro flow – think ‘Electricity’ rather then ‘Look Right Through’. The track nonetheless hits the spot and with KK’s housey dance floor orientated version in tow, the track is bound to be a hit at the pool in Miami this year.
