George Fitzgerald – I Can Tell (By The Way You Move)

If ever there was a judge of talent, it’s Pete Tong. Each week his ‘Essential New Tune’ never fails to disappoint and this week was no different when he brought us the latest production from Dublin’s favourite ‘Georgie’, George Fitzgerald.

If our hazy memory serves us right, George gave this gem a spin when he came to grace the decks of The Twisted Pepper, Dublin back in April. It was shortly after this the crowd broke into chants of ‘Georgie, Georgie, Georgie…..’ And rightly so. To further his already impeccable set at Pepper the inclusion of this bomb simply blew the roof down. With that hard hitting bassline, coupled with those tasty vocal samples and hairsplitting hi-hats it’s easy to see why this is a real crowd-pleaser and certainly a worthy Essential New Tune. And that’s before we talk about the breakdown and rapturous return of those lows. ‘I Can Tell’ is a serious production from Fitzgerald and a track we are justifiably going to hear a lot more of in the coming weeks and months.

Like Mr. Tong himself, WWD recommends!
