Just a few weeks ago we posted up on Eagles & Butterflies a man we’ve ear marked for a bright future in the tech game and now this little ditty has arrived in our mailbox.
With a creative streak like his and a seemingly unstoppable production output it’s no surprise he has recently made the decision to launch his own imprint. Spread Your Wings is the perfect avenue for the young man to express himself creatively. The EP is a delicious four part slice of music. The downtempo ‘Paradise’ is the perfect intro to the EP with its eclectic mixture of sounds almost mystical vibe. IL Chante takes things in a bit more of a house route, some spicy hi hats ensuring the energy levels are on the way up. This track is a definite grower. So much going on here at the same time but it all mixes together wonderfully.
Tracks three and four of this adventurous release are equally interesting. Cosmic Disko takes it up another notch energy wise and introduces a few welcome disco elements while Akasha stands out as the key track in this release. Its a bit brooding, its a bit darker and it packs a punch. One for the dancefloor.
All in all a tasty package and with support from the likes of Digweed, Uner, Yousef and more, this is not one you want to miss. For those currently in situ on the white isle the Spread Your Wings label launch takes place tonight at Savannah with Eagles & Butterflies, David De Valera, Devon James and one very special guest. It’s a free party and definitely WWD recommended.
