Toolroom are the label that just keep giving this year! To celebrate ten years at the top, they’ve commissioned remixes of Mark Knight, D.Ramirez and Underworld anthem “Downpipe”. The original being so highly regarded as a Dance Classic by the WWD crew meant we were eager to see the reworks do it justice and boy, are we satisfied!
We’ve got the best of both worlds, Bontan offers a groovin’ edit, fierce hats and a delicious bassline. A definite hit with fan’s of Deep and Tech. Meanwhile trance legend Armin Van Buuren gives the track a mainroom rebirth with huge, sharp synths and a driving energy-filled drop. A refreshing production from the Dutchman, it’s nice to see him step out of his comfort zone. His retouch of the iconic breakdown will certainly make the hairs on the back of neck stand tall! All in all, we’re a very happy bunch!
