One of our personal favourites at WWD – the Ibizan resident Eagles & Butterflies has grabbed our attention this week with the news that he will be the new host of the popular Data Transmission show which airs weekly on Pioneer DJ radio. Having enjoyed a very successful year with some big releases on the likes of Bedrock as well as an incredibly well received debut album it seems the dedicated producer is on something of a hot streak and his new role as a radio host gives him the perfect platform to spread his eclectic music.

As we mentioned, Mr Butterflies has been sweeping all before him in recent months with his album The Butterfly Effect receiving rave reviews and the remix package featuring the likes of Dinky, Fur Coat and Slow Hearts making quite an imprint on Beatport. With the new show he now has a chance to show off some of his own diverse productions as well as those of his contemporaries. Plenty of guest mixes and interviews are also undoubtedly on the way (last week’s debut featured Exploited’s Claptone) which will give the show all round appeal.

Undoubtedly something to look forward to each and every week this summer! The show will air every Friday 5pm GMT on Pioneer DJ Radio.
