House Is Where the Heart Is: Prosumer & Murat Tepeli

When We Dip
Events, House
2 October 2014

Back again with yet another stomper of a gig, Subject have decided to bring over two of Berlin’s most prolific DJ’s to Dublin’s finest basement. Let us introduce to you Prosumer and Murat Tepeli; two of Panorama Bar’s most notorious.

To many, Prosumer defines the art of the disque jockey. Based in Edinburgh, he gained notoriety as a resident in Panorama Bar from when it first opened its doors back in 2004 until he finished there in 2012. Well known for his crate digging, he seems to have the perfect record for every conceivable moment and it’s also said that on the odd occasion he’d shed tears of joy when playing at Panorama Bar.

He’s had great success with a string of releases on the likes of Hotflush and Playhouse and his tracks with Tepeli are particularly renowned. In 2008, the pair teamed up and released an album called ‘Serenity’ to huge acclaim. Since then they’ve released quite a few EP’s together on Ostgut Ton which have scored very high in the books of scenesters worldwide.

While they work great together, it’s not an entirely symbiotic relationship. Tepeli has been a musician since he was very young and has been releasing on labels like Philpot and Ava amongst many others. Also worth noting is that back in May, he took part charity project called Grassroots, where all the proceeds from record sales went and still go to the Maidan Family Fund for relief in Ukraine.

This is a duo who seem to click so well and that chemistry is not to be missed. It’s bound to be an all night affair, rammed with tracks to make your hips swing! With another big thanks to the Subject crew, we have been given two tickets to give away for the event. To be in with a chance to win, make sure to head over to our Facebook page to enter and keep up to date.

Tickets are available online from the Resident Advisor event page. Alternatively you can fork up at the door but we’d strongly recommend getting a ticket as Bedlam & Home have also booked Kyodai to play in the main room on the same night. All the info that’s needed can also be gotten here.

For your listening pleasure, check out this groove filled mix below that Murat Tepeli did for Bodytonic!
