Pleasurekraft Set For Dublin Return

When We Dip
Events
21 October 2014

Every year there are one or two outstanding acts who stick their head above the parapet at Electric Picnic and treat the crowd to a sublime experience of audio delight. This year was the turn of Pleasurekraft who left Stradbally with his reputation at an all time high on these shores following an outstanding three hour set to close the Bacardi Stage on the Sunday. And so it gives When We Dip great excitement to see that he returns to Dublin this weekend with on point promoters JACK for what looks set to be an outstanding night of tech and house. With the promise of a full night of Pleasurekraft (he will play from start to finish) it seems like the Dublin based night have lined up a rather tantalizing prospect for the capitals weekend warriors.

Pleasurekraft is made of up Kaveh Soroush and Kalle Ronngardh, a duo formed via the power of the internet. Kaveh was originally based in Washington while Kalle was in Sweden. Having produced some of the bigger tech house bombs in recent years including Carny and the much loved Tarantula, Pleasurekraft have really marked themselves out from the crowd with a string of high quality productions. With a hand in one of the most successful Beatport releases ever (alongside Bontan and Josh Butler for Got a Feeling) as well as remixes for esteemed contemporaries like Pete Tong, Cajmere and Fritz Kalkbrenner, the studio output from PK has been nothing short of amazing. Combined with a reputation for delivering intricate well thought out dj sets, it’s no surprise the pair have seen their stock rise considerably this year. Allied to that, their label Kraftek has also been releasing some cutting edge music for those who have been keeping tabs.

Following a sellout show on his last outing to the Button Factory you can be sure that Dublin’s tech loving community will once more be out in force this Friday, WWD is planning on being front and centre!

Tickets: Pleasurekraft @ JACK – The Button Factory Friday Oct 24th
