ASA 808 Debuts on Man Make Music with ‘Ignorance’

25 March 2015

Ladies and gentlemen I am proud to introduce to you Ansgar Rudolf, better known as Asa 808. This  is a young Berliner who first started making music aged 6 years old and has been trained in classical piano, guitar and jazz. This musician who says his influences go from Floating Points and Midland all the way to Beethoven is due to be the next artist to release an EP under George Fitzgerald’s Man Make Music label.

Titled the “Ignorance EP“, it first received large scale airtime when it was played by George himself on BBC Radio 1 a few months back . The Record, which is due out on the 30th of March, first got heard by George after Ansgar (Asa 808) wanted to book him for his famous TOYS nights in Prince Charles in Berlin. They began talking and upon hearing the tack George immediately wanted to release it on his label.

Asa 808’s most recent release was just over a year ago, entitled “Makala/ Thunder [YARN006]” was released on Yarn Audio. This fast paced and energetic record was his first major release in electronic music after previously making post-rock. This bass driven, garage influenced EP was an impressive start and one which now has an even stronger follow up thanks to his next release.

Asa 808 describes this release as somewhere between Berlin and UK house and techno and that is exactly what you get from the very get go. Deep dark bass and hard hitting drums with a brilliantly seducing melody is the perfect welcome mat for this EP. “Ignorance” is brilliantly designed with even the smallest most insignificant sound having a role to play and without that everything else would fall apart. The next track on the record “Attachment” is more of the same with the bass driven, high tempo beat that will surely have dance floors around the world moving very soon. This is something that Asa 808 can be very proud of and is an EP that will receive widespread popularity from both DJ’s and listeners alike.

Track list: Ignorance EP

A1. Ignorance
B1. Attachment
B2. Bad Karma
