Double Trouble : Subject Welcome May & Randomer this Weekend!

When We Dip
Events, House, Ireland, Techno
26 March 2015

Subject have a staunch weekend in store for Dublin City as they host a double header of shows in The Twisted Pepper!

First up on Friday night they host no other than Detroit heavyweight Derrick May (Transmat) who will be performing a 3 hour set! May’s legendary sound is the definition of classic cut Detroit house and techno. It has a clever balance between streamlined percussion-heavy cascades of sound with string samples and a warmth gained from time spent in Chicago enraptured by the grooves of essential DJs Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles. This unique sound is surely not to be missed as it is expected to be a sell out show.

Support on the night comes from homegrown talent Niall Cleary! Also in Room 2 Luka Kolona & Oli Drakeford will be representing ‘Suss Dublin’ with the finest house and techno.

On Saturday night Subject are teaming up with Benefit to bring London born techno sensation ‘Randomer’ (L.I.E.S) back to Irish shores. Randomer is making a serious name for himself in the underground by selling out many shows across Europe. His style of hard hitting techno is set to bring Dublin a massive show in the basement of The Twisted Pepper!

Support on the night comes from ‘Subject’s’ very own ‘Eavan’ along with ‘Benefits’ own Sean Whitty. In Room 2 Betty, Chris Holten, Dockah Irie, Dan Cregan & Aaron Egginton will be laying down the grooves. Also in Room 3 Cabra West Groove Society will be on deck duty!
