The news that Barcelona/LA based producer Shaded has returned with another distinctive EP on the legendary Turbo Recordings is music to our tech loving ears. Following an outstanding first outing with SheShe the man who was previously half of SHDWPLAY has come up trumps with Ripped Kick a barnstorming EP which which reminded us ever so slightly of some of Matador’s recent productions, that effortless minimal techno vibe with bounce filled energetic basslines. Shaded though has cultivated his own distinct style injecting clever little vocal chops and psychedelic touches to deliver one of our favourite EP’s so far this year with the title track almost certainly the standout.
