“Hizou deep rooted music” is a Spanish record label with the only aim to release the finest house music coming out of their beloved city’s of Chicago and Detroit. With that said enter “Spirit of the black 808“, a Chicago native who inherited his older brothers record collection at an early age and from then on in was bound to create music of his own and to try leave his mark on the famous Chicago music scene. Boasting past releases such as “Analog Functions” on Episodes US. He lists his influences as floating points, Flying Lotus and Theo Parrish to name but a few which shows that he isn’t worried about chasing the mainstreams attention, rather allow those who want to listen to his music to find it all by themselves.

His next release, “Infroduction” is Chicago house music to its very core. Sample heavy with notable hip hop influences it shows the artists knowledge of the music of his city that has paved the way before him. The track to look out for on this release is the title track, “Infroduction”, with a steady flow it has an almost old school hip hop feel to it with drums that give it a more upbeat dance floor suitable rhythm. This EP is due to hit the shelves in all good record stores on the 4th of May.
