Dema joins Ejeca’s Exploris with Voyage ep

Next up to the plate for Belfast native Ejeca‘s new and exciting label is Dema. Hailing from Milan he is one of the most exciting new talents in techno music today. With his own signature refreshing take on matters his sound is unique in the best way. Sticking rigidly to the traditional four to the floor beat he brings his own style to the table.

His newest Ep entitled, “Voyage Ep” is a 3 track triumph, with each track surpassing the predecessor. First out of the gate is Mantis. This is a combined effort by Dema and Daron Callen. Searing hi hats and a pounding bass drum immediately let you know what you are in for with this record. Slowly in creeps the melody, it crescendos and drops until you eventually encapsulated in the music. Swirling and combining together to create a melodic opener for this record. While its not the heaviest track in the world, it does plenty in the way of getting you into the swing of things. But packs enough punch to do some serious damage on the dance floor.

Next up then is Universal. Instantly this one has more to give to the listener. Heavier drums fill your ears, pounding away with a vocal sample ringing off in the background. This is the kind of mid set track that any techno dj worth his salt will be sure to drop into his sets to make things take off. Unrelenting and tough this one is sure to find its way into the record bags of some of the finest selectors around. By far the hardest hitting track on the record.

Closing things off then is, No More Time. With more of a swing to it this is my personal favourite track on the record. More light hearted and playful but still has enough in the percussion side of things to keep you moving. Dema is showing himself at full flex here, exercising his ability by introducing way more elements in this tracks and seamlessly bringing them in and out to our hips delight. This one closes out what I would call a bloody good record on one of my favourite new record labels, Exploris. Ejeca recently sat down for a chat with us where he explained that the purpose behind his label is to release music that has its own style and is different. Voyage ep is out online on the 8th of June.
