17 June 2015

Glasgow imprint Soma has lined up a mammoth compilation in the form of”Slam presents Transmissions: Glasgow’. Arriving June 29th the special album release is centred around the talented artists of its home town, it’s very much a “musical documentation of the prosperous Glasgow scene”. The release features 15 tracks including appearances from big hitters like Gary Beck, Harvey Mckay, Edit Select, Hans Bouffmyhre and Slam.

Today, we’re very excited to present a full premiere of the Deepbass contribution to the album. Representing the city’s emerging talent, returning to Soma after impressing with “Dune” and “Moha” recently, the rising producer has delivered “Themis”, a tense, hypnotic eight minute production, where the warm low-end element and distant echoing hi-hats encapsulate the listener. The track rises effortlessly as the intriguing textures and engrossing atmosphere enable minds to wander.

‘Slam presents Transmissions: Glasgow’ is out 29 June on Soma. Pre-order here.
