Suara and Octopus Recordings man Ramiro Lopez closes out a standout Summer with a return to Carl Cox and Jon Rundell’s seminal Intec imprint. The Spanish producer stays strong to the finish, marking the last of the season with a killer three track EP titled Truce. Today, we’re very excited to present the full EP to When We Dip readers. The release is led up aptly by ‘Crusher’, a monstrous production, which exhibits supreme power and relentless energy. It’s a club-oriented slice of techno fitted with shuddering stabs and a hard hitting drum ensemble.
True to its name ‘Steps’ takes it to another level, offering a hypnotic seven minute journey into the unknown. It showcases yet again the heavyweight side to the work of Lopez. The breakdown provides a soothing respite before a pounding kick drum and splashing ride cymbals resume normal service. With title track ‘Truce’, it forms the perfect trio. ‘Truce’ brings the circle to a close. With a stellar groove and constant progression, it caps a quality EP for Lopez and the Intec label.
