2015 has been another absolutely huge year for Hamburg’s Sidney Charles with a constant flow of bangin’ releases, hectic touring and his central part in one of the liveliest parties in Ibiza this season, ‘Do Not Sleep‘.

As the Ibiza season draws to a close, thankfully we welcome his new EP ‘Power Of The Underground‘ forthcoming on Defected’s – DFTD, next Monday 21st.

The title track of the EP ‘Power Of The Underground‘ is a perfect indication of what Sidneys sound has developed into over his career. His raw 4×4 kick patterns layered with tight & sharp drums give a wonderfull jackin’ flow inked with his well known sinister basslines.

The grooviest of the 3 tracks is ‘The Phonograph‘. It’s is well constructed with different layers of clever chord hits & synths to create subtle changes throughout the track.

‘Controoler’ rounds off the 3 track EP but it’s by no means a filler. This could well be the lead track on an EP it’s that good. With catchy vocal hooks and a driving bassline, yet one which has a rather bouncy feel to it, the track has all the right ingredients.

In short, prepare to hear these ones destroying dance floors for the next while.

Make sure to grab yourself a copy of this EP via DFTD’s Beatport on Monday 21st September.
