The one and only Rod Modell a.k.a. Deepchord lines up a Soma release for his impressive new album. The tracks of “Ultraviolet Music” are signature dub techno cut: chords, background hiss, soft crackles and smooth drums are the first elements recognisable to the ear and functional to this music style.
Fortunately it’s not the usually over-used and abused kind of dub techno we have been used to hearing in the last few years: the whole sound is ethereal and filled with different new contaminations, materialising the artist’s inspirations.
