Only recently we brought you the sounds of Jona in the mix and we even asked him a few questions. One of the talking points was his upcoming album on Alex Niggemann’s AEON imprint and just last week saw the beginning of it’s release schedule.

Released in 2 parts ‘Sidetracking Part 1: Prologue EP’ dropped last Friday and it’s really whet the appetite for what’s still to come. Inside is 4 beautifully crafted tracks. 2 distinctive originals and 2 huge remixes from none other than Speaking Minds (AEON) and the well renowned Trevino.

While the originals reference jazz, afro-beat and dub influences, the remixers are definitely more techno orientated and you will no doubt hear them on the floor. Niggemann himself only just posted a short clip of him smashing out the Speaking Minds cut.

This musical puzzle will be completed in February 2016 with the release of the full-length ‘Sidetracking’ album, featuring 8 more original tracks to form the 10-track CD package.
