Offenbach-based imprint Connaisseur Recordings kicks off 2016 with a scintillating new VA, the sixth in the LRT series. The release features four fresh cuts from Francesco Chiocci & Black Soda, Death On The Balcony, Astrea and Kris Davis. In their own words “LRT6 is the extract of our 6th edition of Livingroom Techno, our yearly collection of winterish and cozy tunes for dancing on bearskins in front of the fireside.”

This week, Connaisseur shares an exclusive premiere with When We Dip readers, offering a full stream of inimitable Kris Davis cut ‘Petroleum’. Davis has moulded an exquisite piece, which brings to the table a potent blend of dynamic synth sounds, soft melodic touches and a growling low-end element. The track is yet another showcase of irresistible textures and standout sound selection from the Portsmouth producer.  A stellar start to the year for Mr. Davis, we expect much more to come in 2016.
