Today is the day of Mater’s 1st release, an imprint at the heart of an evolving creative concept headed by Diego Tuñón and Jimmy Van M.

Although centred in the heart of Latin America, Mater will be focusing on electronic dance artists from outside the region. By joining the dots between Latin America’s pulsating live musical heritage and electronic music’s universal, futuristic possibilities, a fresh and passionate, exciting musical/cultural mix is set to evolve and develop.

The first dot in this map is Peet’s ‘Watermelon Stories’ EP. This 4 track EP features 3 original tracks across a broad spectrum of sounds which really showcases the talent Peet has to offer. The final track on the package is a remix from the aforementioned label heads, Diego Tuñón and Jimmy Van M.

The diversity in this EP is superb with each track offering something different. Our pick of the bunch possibly the more club focused Deeper Still. However, this EP is the real deal and the prospect of what lies ahead for Mater is exciting.
