Âme is a name almost everyone into their dance music is familiar with. It’s a name synonymous with quality. Between productions, live sets and DJ sets, the guys (Frank & Kristian) have it down.
We caught Frank playing live for Richie Hawtin’s ENTER. during the summer ’15 season and it was a thing of beauty. Perfectly crafted and thoroughly enthralling. When Kristian came to our fair city at the back end of 2014, much the same could be said for his set.
Playing in the Twisted Pepper basement, for a relatively small crowd considering it was Amê, he moved delicately through the gears, with sublime track selection and effortless mixes. It is no wonder, he features so prominently in the RA DJ Poll year after year. In the most recent edition, he came in at no.9. That trip to the basement of The Pepper was one of our favourites and on Saturday he takes to District 8 to showcase his skills. It’s safe to say we’re excited.
