It was probably only a matter of time before one of Ireland’s most succesfull party concepts gave birth to a music wing in the form of Strictly Deep Music, but the manner of its arrival has certainly turned a few heads. The moniker headed up by Dubliner Jonathan Kiely has kicked things off with a diverse EP packed full of fulsome grooves. The debut release comes curtesy of Manchester underground starlet Jini Cowan and is a healthy mix of vocal delight and cutting edge tech. The title track Roots steals the show with a delicious vocal hovering above some stripped back chords, while accompanying efforts Deliver Us and Umbra, take things in a slightly darker direction.

All in all it makes for a sublime first outing for the fledgling label and undoubtedly whets the beak for the upcoming releases.
