Techno duo Gaist recently released their two track EP “Trigger” on District 9 Recordings. The duo have been honing their craft and refining their skills in an unforgiving industry for over a decade. The pair have taken their inimitable sound across the globe and in the process have caught the attention of some of the scene’s biggest and most revered names, some of those names being Richie Hawtin and Dirtybird boss, Claude VonStroke.

The title track “Trigger” opens the EP with that warehouse vibe and some scattered FX.  The percussion is intense and lively, transitioning into a driving bassline that keeps the track shaking for the duration. It’s a pure techno pleaser that encompasses the duos style of rhythm and passion.

“Division” is a much more moodier affair than “Trigger” but at he same time it showcases the duo’s much loved darker side. The tracks unleashes its underground dark techno vibes from the off. Its moody melodies absorb you into the underworld and delights the listener with its entrancing percussion as the track becomes increasingly eerie.
