Olderic & Peter Pardeike combine on ‘Connaisseur’ [Review]

Deep House, News
2 May 2016

Italian DJ and producer Olderic is already well renowned for his talent as a composer of electronic music and, more specifically, deep house music; proof of this are the tracks “A Violent Sky” (edit for Apparat) and the “Alma EP”, released by Compost Records in May 2015. Now, exactly one year after, Olderic is back with “Connaisseur”, a new track to be released on May the 16th, that he wrote in collaboration with Peter Pardeike to celebrate the ten years of the Offenbach am Main based label Connaisseur Recordings. In “Connaisseur” the taste for deep sounds which Peter Pardeike has got us used to meets Olderic’s electronic sounds: the final product is a smooth track, where the apparent simplicity of the loops actually defines a strong emotional level.

What we’re talking about is a polyhedric composition, in which arpeggiators are interlaced with bass lines that appear gradually and mark their presence without stabbing the melody. Furthermore, the pad synth in the drop contributes to define an ethereal and suspended atmosphere. Of course, we will have to wait for the full version of the track, but the snippet made available so far already says a lot of what will come: a polished, refined deep house release.

Release date May 16th 2016.
