Eekkoo and Sailor & I come together for ‘Letters’ collaboration

Montreal based artist Eekkoo combines with renowned vocalist Sailor & I for a very special two track EP this month. To date the Canadian producer, known for his exemplary studio skills, has featured everywhere from Deadmau5’s Mau5trap Records to iconic London label Anjunadeep. The new EP alongside Swede Sailor & I (who himself has been remixed by legendary figures likes AME and DJ Tennis) is certainly one of the most emotive pieces we’ve seen from him yet. The release brings together the best of both worlds in an engrossing electronic space.

“Letters (Capital)” leads the release, it’s an anthemic cut with an indie air. It’s brimming with energy – a sure-fire festival weapon for the Summer season. As for “Letters (Lower Case)” it’s a more subtle, moody groover, which once more instils a beautiful atmosphere with the contribution of Sailor & I. On the collaboration, Eekkoo explains, “When I first worked with Sailor & I, he was my guest. He was the feature I was looking for that specific project. Hard hitting, electronic, heavy. This time it’s different, we wanted to focus on his own particular sound spectrum. Something a bit lighter, colourful and lyrical.”

Release date June 10 via Big Beat Records.
