Justin Jay & Friends – Climbing Trees ft. Josh Taylor & Benny Bridges [Repopulate Mars]

When Lee Foss announced his new record label “Repopulate Mars” expectations were naturally high, as his path in the electronic music industry is nothing but gold. Yet, he manages to surprise us every time a new EP is released, demonstrating again and agian his true A&R mastery. This time, he turns spotlights to a young and absolutely brilliant talent and a regular name on Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird. LA’s own Justin Jay presents his new “Make You Mine EP” and When We Dip got to listen to “Climbing Trees”, the exquisite B Side track of the EP.

In the tune, Justin Jay tells us a beautiful story where an eerie and misty atmosphere leads us to a melodic progressive flurry. A rather hypnotizing Deep House affair with a strongly emotional tone. Graceful and subtle vocal solo by Josh Taylor in the breakdown consolidates the track’s mood but doesn’t completely prepare you for the even more touching moment of the drop and the euphoric explosion that comes afterwards. A smooth and dreamy house groove with mood-elevating synth work, sorrounding bass line, and magnificent guitar touches. This truely uplifting song is a masterpiece by the young producer.
