Five Tracks to Welcome Woogie Weekend with Jonas Saalbach

When We Dip
Events, News
5 July 2016

When we initially saw the Woogie Weekend lineup we knew something special was going down. The fusion of house legends and bustling new techno talent sets the stage for an aural feast! One of the names that grabbed our attention the most was Jonas Saalbach. It is rare to find him in the states, let alone a major festival, so we knew we had to pick his brain for some top selections to ring in the weekend.

1. Jonas Saalbach – Ancient Lake (Sébastien Léger Remix) [Einmusika]

The first track comes by way of Jonas himself, remixed by the class producer Sébastien Léger. This uplifting remix hits with emphasis and has a bright and summery feel.

2. Lehar – Fantasia [Diynamic]

This next cut is off the impeccable label, Diynamic. This one might be the grooviest of the bunch, and one of our personal favorites.

3. Minlab – Deism [Ein2]

Minlab’s Deism has all the elements of being the weekend’s anthem. Its melodic build grabs you and leaves you wanting more. We wouldn’t be surprised if we heard this one a few times throughout the weekend.

4. Terry Lee Brown Junior, Ira Ange – Innocent (Hernan Cattaneo & Martin Garcia Remix) [Plastic City]

No matter where you are this sultry vocal track will call you to the dancefloor. With a master like Hernan Cattaneo on remix duties this is one enticing treat!

5. Dahu – Desolate [Steyoyoke]

Finally, including a Steyoyoke track only feels right. Dahu’s Desolate is a dark number that sets the mood for that organic and ethereal sound we’ve come to expect from Jonas.
