Tolstoi & Andsan – 1970s EP – Underground Audio [Review]

When We Dip
News, Tech House
29 July 2016

Cologne producers Tolstoi & Andsan, follow in the footsteps of Yacine Dessouki and Ki Creighton, taking up the mantle at UK label Underground Audio, where they just released an engrossing new three tracker, an ode to the 1970s.Heading up the release is title track ‘Grind’, a hard-hitting tech house groover coated with an ensemble of delectable samples. Proper tasty!

Track two ‘Back Then’ is a similarly bouncy production; it revolves around an all-consuming bass-line and some body-shaking drum hits. Closing out the EP is Desolat regular Francisco Allendes, who steps into the spotlight to reworking the lead from the release in style. Allendes delivers a rattling and energetic remix that is riddled with tension.

Tolstoi & Andsan – 1970s EP is out now on Underground Audio – Buy Here.
