The clocks have just gone back, the days are still shortening and the time for partying in the nighttime is lengthening. It’s that time of year again, Metropolis Festival.
In it’s inaugural year last year, the festival was warmly received. Back for a second year, Metropolis opens it’s doors at the RDS for a weekend of festive fun.
WWD last saw DJ Shadow when he graced our shores for Electric Picnic back in 2011. If memory serves us well he closed out proceedings in the dance tent on the opening night. The set up was incredible and the atmosphere electric. Heading along was worth it for that alone, and that was even before he started playing.
This man has an incredible collection of productions. These are not only just productions, these are cult classics. From Organ Donor above to Midnight In A Perfect World. I could go on and on.
DJ shadow closes the festival’s opening party this evening from 21.30. Make sure you get down and whet the appetite for what’s to come over the coming days. What’s more is that tonight, you’ll be treated to the magical sounds of Mount Kimbie and Kormac LIVE from 19.00. What’s stopping you?!
