Ostgut Ton keeps the ball moving with their 102nd release. This one come courtesy of Berlin techno veteran Fiedel, under the title Substance B. One of the longest running Ostgut residents, he held down a residency at the original Ostgut from 2000 and then continued on this journey in Berghain from 2004 to now. Fiedel started djing in the 90’s when the wall came down and has been a mainstay in the German techno scene ever since. This is not his first release on the label, he has contributed to various compilation records throughout the years.

Having been in the scene for so long his sound really encapsulates the true spirit of techno in its forward thinking and progressive sound. Electronic music can sometimes be overly melancholic but Fiedels approach allows enough room for the listener to look both into the past of the sound and towards the future. His sound combines a number of styles that seamlessly blend together to create a truly unique record that we have come to expect from Ostgut Ton. Release date March 3rd 2017
