HYTE set to rock Governors Island on July 2nd

Global party series, HYTE, returns to New York City on July 2nd for the second instalment of Independence Day Weekend celebrations. After an almighty indoor/outdoor Brooklyn warehouse party in 2016, this year HYTE will be stationed in a never-before-used location on Governors Island. With panoramic views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, this isolated island provides the perfect sanctuary for a two stage, day and night party of epic proportions.

And this year HYTE brings Berghain residents Marcel Dettmann and minimalist analog grooves by Rødhåd to stage 1. Along with Richie Hawtin and house music big cheese Maceo Plex. The stage will also house veteran rhythm controller Matrixxmann and the unparalleled military chief of dance, Julia Govor.

Stage 2 will host one of the single best tandem acts in dance music in the form of Chris Liebing and Speedy J’s electronic music project, Collabs. This, along with sets from HYTE regular and Desolat boss Loco Dice, and top notch selectors Maya Jane Coles and Jackmaster. And future legend Koreas own Peggy Gou.

Over the past several years HYTE has cemented itself as a global powerhouse, establishing a weekly residency at the world famous Amnesia Ibiza, as well as sold-out series in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Europe’s techno capital Berlin. From the exemplary production of their events to the union between the crowd and DJ; it’s no secret that HYTE has managed to bring people across the world closer together with all things rhythm and dance.
