Drumcode Halloween: The highlight of the UK techno calendar returns to Tobacco Docks

It may still be sunny and bright outside in the UK but, in a few months time, darkness and cold will be making their not-so anticipated return. A lot of people might not be looking forward to it, but here at When We Dip we’re getting a wee bit excited, because with the cold and darkness comes a highlight of the UK techno calendar: Drumcode Halloween at Tobacco Docks. Yep, you know what’s going down.

The first Drumcode Halloween event was held at the infamous London venue in 2014, and has returned year on year since then. It’s a party that delivers on all fronts; one that features some of the highest quality hard hitting techno, encased within the sprawling confines of Tobacco Dock’s industrial walls, that starts around midday and goes right through till near midnight. Is it a festival or a rave? We’ll let you be the judge of that.

On the bill this time are a number of Drumcode regulars and heavyweights, all of whom are no strangers to the Docks, alongside some new names making their debut. Of course head honcho Adam Beyer will be headlining things, with Belgian native Amelie Lens also stopping by, along with techno titans Sam Paganini and fellow Italian Enrico Sangiuliano. UK talent Marquis Hawkes, whose releases are well known for their chunky style of house music, will also be making his debut appearance at a Drumcode event. Boy can’t we wait to hear his tasty take on techno.

And guess what? That’s only part of the phase one lineup!  There’s loads more artists still to be announced, but our appetites are already wet. So to get you in the mood we’ve put the 2016 aftermovie below – trust us when we say you won’t be disappointed. We’d advise not to sleep on this one, it’s gonna be a proper techno party.

Drumcode Halloween lands at London’s Tobacco Docks on the 28th of October. Tickets here.
