The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the leading electronic music platform and the biggest club festival in the world for the whole spectrum of electronic sub-genres. The 22nd edition of ADE has revealed a large part of it’s festival program, and the excitement is far from over. This year will feature approximately 2,500 performers from all over the world, setting a new record for the number of artists participating.
The events, artists, and attendees combine to make Amsterdam one of the busiest and most inspiring clubbing cities in the world. The program features some of the most popular artists on the planet alongside fresh, upcoming talent and everything in between.
This year, organizers have established 140 locations around Amsterdam for the events, including approximately 550 top-of-the-line speakers to give you only the best of today’s electronic dance music. On The Radar: When We Dip’s Top 5 ADE 2017 events so far
1. Life and Death ADE
On October 20th 2017, the well-known ‘Life And Death’ label returns to ADE for an outstanding showcase featuring many of its key acts and close musical friends. The label founder DJ Tennis will be accompanied by Honey Soundsystem, Awanto 3, Jackmaster, Gerd Janson, Jennifer Cardini, , Leon Vynehall, Red Axes Marin & Guy, Margot , Lucy, and The Das & more big names in the industry. The event will take place in the lovely outdoor venue ‘Thuishaven’ and will include special productions, visual stimulation, talented dancers, and a high-end sound system to give attendees a magical night of music.
2. DGTL X Paradise ADE
An electronic music trip to paradise! Join the adventure on October 20th at the ‘Scheepsbouwloods’ location in Amsterdam part of DGTL’s association at The Amsterdam Dance Event. ‘Paradise’ pioneer Jamie Jones’s concept has travelled the globe with great success and this year’s showcase will be no exception. Included in the line-up are: Dubfire, Apollonia, Matador, Richy Ahmed b2b Andrea Oliva, Patrik Topping, Peggy Gou, Detlef, Lauren Lane, and of course, Jamie Jones. The collab is going into its fifth year, and the excitement for this voyage into paradise has already taken off.
3. HYTE ADE X FRRC
For the fourth year in a row, well-established party brand HYTE will be returning to The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). HYTE will once again be taking over Amsterdam’s Warehouse ‘Elementenstraat’ with a stellar line-up, full with some of the leading artists in the electronic music industry. International DJ headliners, along with impressive upcoming talent and leading labels will be combined with high-end production in order to transform the legendary warehouse into a techno lovers dream come true. The line-up includes DJ and producers like Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Setev Rachmad, Ferro, Archie Hamilton & many more.
4. Rush Hour ADE
Across the IJ river, at arms length from its historic city center, lies Shelter, a new Amsterdam haven for quality electronic dance music. Join the madness on October 19th, 2017 as Shelter & ADE celebrate 20 years at night! This special event will be kicking off The Amsterdam Dance Event with performances by artists Chez Damier, Antal, Soichi Terada (live), Tom Trago, and San Proper.
5. The Garden of Babylon presents the ADE Seekers of Light
Sunday, October 22nd, join us on this magical voyage led by a list of musical spiritual guides. Let them take you to The Gardens of Babylon, where time and space knows no boundaries, and the ability to re-take your place in this world comes to life. As you find yourself amoungst the electronic jungle of The Amsterdam Dance Event, out from the darkness The Garden of Babylon will appear, to enlighten your soul and fill the missing pieces of your subconscious. Amoung the impressive line-up includes Audiofly, Behrouz, Blond:ish, Chaim, Damian Lazarus, Jan Blomqvist (live), Kora, Monolink (live), Satori (live), Yokoo, & more. The artists will be divided over three unique areas: The Gardens of Babylon, The Dark Forest, & The Tree of Life. Explore euphoric sounds and sacred spaces, as you wander inside the deep corners of your being.
