Madrid producer David Ponziano followed up his standout 2016 EP ‘From The Stars’ on long established New York imprint Modern Day Music this September with three top notch remixes coming from Giacomo, David Scuba and V i v i d. Working with NYC-based Meandisco (Founder & A&R at the label), he brings together a fine combination of fresh editions. Giacomo, who has also featured on the likes of Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It and John Digweed’s Bedrock Records turns in an eery, brooding remix of ‘From The Stars’. It powers up the ethereal vocal with a heavy duty kick drum and a sharp synth line in support.

As for Desert Hearts and Superfreq artist David Scuba, he brings a similarly dark yet ludicrously groovy mix of ‘El Trapi’ to the table. He’s delivered a raucous mind-bender to take the dance-floor into the deep of the night. Closing out the package is V i v i d (of Manjumasi, Motek and Akbal Music), better known to friends and family as Hassan Malik. The rising talent drops a chunky rework on ‘El Trapi’, combining a growling bass-line, a distinct acid touch and an entrancing synth. Listen to the full EP below and keep an eye out for selected tracks from the release upcoming on vinyl imprint MMusic.
