WWD look ahead to Edanticonf’s debut EP release on the esteemed underground imprint, Curle Recordings, entitled ‘The Mind Power’, out September 15th.

The Amsterdam based artist has proven his production with his debut LP ‘Forest Echo’ in 2012 released on Silent Season, other imprints include M_REC LTD, Trolldans and Phorma. On each release, Edanticonf’s work varies from the more ambient compositions from his ‘Planet’ EP for Silent Season to his dub-infused Techno release on Italy’s M_REC LTD. While varied in style, he never compromises in quality, and this can be seen in his latest release.

On the whole we can safely say that anyone who loves Techno with an atmosphere will be eager to hear this. Can’t stand waiting? Well, check out the soundcloud preview and believe the hype.

WWD are fortunate enough to hear this EP in full and we are big fans… We ease into the EP with, the title-named track, ‘The Mind Power’, a Techno tune filled with blended atmospheric textures, arpeggiated synth patterns and industrial-inducing pad tones leaving you hypnotised. ‘Interlude’ follows, a song much like the rest of the EP, with its attention on the refined nuances of the analogue synthesiser, which overall produces a perfect blend of clean cut and rough sounds. To finish, ‘We Dance Together’, adds an almost Trance-like closer to the EP, with soaring atmospheric elements and delicate synths with gritty, lo-fi drums to great effect.

The work as a whole proves Edanticonf’s mastery of blending unique sounds to make an ethereal piece of Techno. So get ready for the 15th…
