Whether its an abandoned boathouse, a textile factory, or a boarding school, The Abandoned series have proven to transform any venue into something extraordinary. This Halloween, The Abandoned team will be taking you on a musical journey into the deepest, darkest edges of your being in none other than an Abandoned Church.
The unique series of parties began back in 2012, and has since prevailed into something remarkable, holding a close spot in the hearts of Montreal partygoers. The first edition was located in a boathouse, followed by a textile factory and a boarding school, where each venue was tranformed with a fusion of sensory components that make these parties unforgettable. Ever since the Abandoned series set its first mark on the scene, organizers have continued to produce high-quality events that embody the essence of the underground. The episodes include unusual concepts with carefully curated locations that are transfigured into an atmosphere unlike the one we currently inhabit.
Behind the prevail of the Abandoned series is a passionate team of local collectives who give full dedication into creating a vibe that offers a magical, thrilling feeling, and this Halloween will be no exception. Friday, October 27th, we gather together in an abandoned church, as we confess our sins, or create more.
This purculiar venue’s soundscape and atmosphere will be curated by a collaboration of collectives channeling their respective talents into two rooms of audiovisual satisfaction. Partygoers can expect phenomenal scenography, accompanied with reverberating acoustics and a creative display of digital, visual, and live artistic stimulation. And of course, it would not be an Abandoned party without rumbling bass-lines intertwined with deep, dark, and groovy techno beats.
A 12-hour service will take place in the Abandoned church, featuring glass stained-windows and high ceilings setting as the perfect space for a night full of creepy pleasure. The line up is jam-packed with international and local artists that are ready to take charge of the dancefloors in each of the two rooms: The Church and The Crypt.
