If techno is your bag then you are familiar with the techno haven known as Awakenings ADE. In a world with an abundance of dance music festivals, finding one with real substance that sets itself apart can be difficult. Awakenings ADE transports you into another world, with around 8 arenas hosting the biggest names in the Electronic music industry featuring spectacular outdoor stages and tents with incredible designs.

Just on the outskirts of bustling central Amsterdam, a heavy bass is felt from miles away as thousands of techno warriors assemble. This year, the pressure was on to beat last years success with over 100 techno artists showcasing their craft. The events left us all in musical bliss, with standout performances across the various stages including dark techno masetro Sam Paganini, Drumcode boss Adam Beyer, as well as legendary artists Joris Voorn and Sven Väth. Well known heavy-hitting players like Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber, Nastia, Pig & Dan, and Ilario Alicante also brought the heat to this stellar festival.

Now that the showcase has come to a close, WWD is here to deliver our top 10 picks from Awakenings ADE 2017:
