When We Dip | Egyptian producer Misty shines bright with 'Amandrai' EP on Flora imprint

Misty is a name to keep an eye on in 2018. The talented Egyptian artist is fresh from his full debut EP on Flora (of Montreal Fauna & Flora outfit), the organic-styled imprint of the Canadian label platform. ‘Amandrai’ is a mystical two tracker led by the title cut. The lead is a scintillating, dreamy composition, which fuses a smooth base groove with an emotive ethnic style vocal snippet running over the surface. A tense, hypnotic synth-line runs through its centre, building impeccably at the climax.

B-side ‘Dimensions’ is undoubtedly a more hi-octane affair, led by a fiery bass-line and a rapid running synth-line combination. It’s a certified body mover, a sure-fire dance-floor weapon on the way to the peak of the night. It showcases a great contrast in the arsenal of the up and coming producer. We’re expecting much more from him in the month to come.
