The eagerly awaited new release of Ukrainian duo, Artbat, is finally here. Planeta, the three track EP dropped on Beatport today via Diynamic.

Starting strong, the EP begins with the title track, which showcases a fusion of techno and deep house. The breakdown has an incredibly raw feeling. Which is incapsulated with the use of chainsaw like sounds. This then, releases into a drop featuring a rolling bass which is sure to incapsulate crowds throughout the festival season this summer.

The second track, Prometheus, follows the current trend of the highly percussive deep house sound, that has been swarming Ibiza dance floors over the last 2 years. A cacophonous build up followed by a mesmerising bass line captures that new deep house sound perfectly. This is a bit of a WWD favourite!

Dino Lenny provides vocals for the final track, ‘Sand In Your Shoes’, which gives the song a certain eeriness. It’s a great way to finish the EP off with a hypnotising and dreamy atmosphere.

Planeta really does deliver on the hype built up on social media music ID pages, by videos of artists such as Maceo Plex and Konstantin Sibold playing the title track, prior to release.
