Cologne based Tolstoi & Andsan have made their debut on New Violence with the heavy hitting Viva La EP. The German duo who run Cologne’s famous Living Room night are flying high in the production world having had recent releases land on the likes of Great Stuff, Under No Illusion, NoExcuse and Flashmob. Here they pull no punches with 3 tracks designed for maximum dance floor impact. Kicking things off with Viva La, the boys bring a rolling bassline and heavy grooves to cut up vocals and percussive synths. Next up we have Boxed, a more driving, minimal affair garnished with a spoken vocal and off kilter synth line. Rounding things off we have Zelena. This one is all about the drums, peppered with industrial sounding hits and skipping snares.
