A new two track EP has just dropped on Souleé’s Parquet recordings. Julian Wasserman really pulls through with this release. The Munich based producer and DJ brings two deep melodic techno tracks to the table which compliment each other amiably while also staying refreshingly distinct.

‘Human’ brings a fusion of progressive and deep structures that feel like they have a life of their own. This comes from a twinkling uplifting arp, from which the limbs of the track seem to grow . A deep saw bass line in the second half of ‘Human’ replaces the arp, bringing with it a more tense and dark atmosphere. Combining with, the deep yet groovy, bassline is an ominous chord progression which punches through the rest of the track. The tension releases with the return of the original arp and finishes the journey off with an upbeat and spaced feeling. This is one that we’ll be keeping our eyes on, here at WWD!
