Moss Co. ushers in 2018 with ‘Indivisual’, a three-track EP from Croatia’s supremely talented Mariano Mateljan.

Made in Mariano’s home studio in Split, the ‘Indivisual’ EP was pieced together over several analogue jams. Aimed squarely at the small hours, these trippy and haunting tracks take influence from the micro house sound of the 90s, where deeply textured melodics and heady grooves come hand in hand, paying tribute to labels such as Cabinet and Perlon and producers like Schatrax and Matthew Johnson.

The record is a fine example of Mariano’s ever-maturing sound, a timeless approach to minimalistic house music that will ignite dancefloors from Croatia and beyond.

We have the chance to premiere ‘Pleased To Miss You’ that you can listen below. We also had a little chat with Mariano.

WWD : Describe yourself in 25 words of less?
– Family, Friends, Music, Cooking, Love, Tabasco, Frequency, Energy, Nature, Socks, Books, Vinyl

WWD : This EP has been on the cards for a while, tell us about the process it took?
When I first made the A side track, “Pleased to Miss You”, i played it to Archie who fell in love with it immediately and wanted to sign it. We needed another 2 track to complete the Ep so i sat down in the studio for another few weeks till we had the final package ready. All 3 tracks were made from jamming and edited afterwards.

WWD : Obviously the scene in Croatia has boomed with the summer festivals, how has that affected the growth of electronic music within the country?
It affected the whole country in general, both tourism and music. There is a wide musical assortment during the summer season now, which is a big step for what it was like couple of years back. Each week there is a festival so it made the nightlife quite interesting. Also, it inspired a new generation of young people to start djing and producing music, so i guess that’s the best outcome you could ask for.

WWD : Other than this release, what else do you have coming up?
Besides this release, i have a VA coming out on Vekton Black, a remix for Alexis Cabrera on Studio76, and an ep on Infuse.

Release date: April 6th 2018. Buy Here
