Culprit bosses Droog return to the label as artists with another one of their impressive collaborations, following the “Lucent” release with Edu Imbernon last September. This time up the new music is from the artistic pairing that has, in many ways, defined Droog’s production output. Their musical kinship with the Nottingham native Inxec has been cultivated across nearly 8 years and in spite of vast distances that separate them.

Inxec & Droog’s very first song together, “Unhinged” for Crosstown Rebels, set the sonic tone for the collaboration. It’s unabashedly emotive modern mid-tempo techno, brooding yet soulful, harmonic but, at times, dissonant and off-kilter too. The team’s music always strives for originality above all, forsaking the fruitless chase of trends. The three new originals on the “Din” EP show off Inxec & Droog’s range: “Monstar” is one of their brashest, most upbeat tracks, riding a dynamic acid-y bass synth riff, a vocal sample straight out of left field, and a syncopated beat. “Bodyless” is the flip side of the coin – all deep melodic poise, evoking a gentle sense of euphoria. If “Monstar” is the party-starter, “Bodyless” is the remedy for the post-party comedown. “Dega” splits the difference, balancing big pads and a melodic hook with punchy percussion and a rumbling low end.  We are honored to premiere ‘Bodyless’, you can listen below.

Release Date: April 27th.
