LWE Presents: Cuttin’ Headz at Old Fountain Studios

From hosting the first New Years Day event at Tobacco Dock in 2014, to opening Printworks in February last year, it’s safe to say LWE are no strangers to the capital. First an ex Tobacco factory, then a former printing press. And now, the London party starters have announced their next venture: Old Fountain Studios.

Located in Wembley, the ex television studio will be transformed into a sprawling nightclub space, kitted out with a L’Acoustics soundsystem and a tessellating lighting design. Exciting stuff. And first up, on the 5th of May, is an absolute peach of an event by anyone’s standards: Cuttin Headz. Starting at noon and finishing at ten, fronting the bill will be label founders The Martinez Brothers, who will be playing an extended set. Alongside them will be Arkityp, the collaborative effort between Fuse residents Archie Hamilton and Rossko, as well as Argy, and Leftroom head honcho Matt Tolfrey. Plenty of exciting talent there, reflecting some of the best from the minimal scene.

And the countdown begins. A new venue for London, a large space that offers the perfect environment for a day into night party. There’s no doubt this is exciting, very exciting, and proves that LWE certainly have a knack for weening out some of the capital’s best undiscovered event spaces. In a climate where housing and council pressure threaten the thriving club scene we’ve all come to cherish, it’s safe to say the opening speaks volumes on all levels; and proves that, despite setbacks, London’s nightlife is still a force to be reckoned with.

LWE Presents: Cuttin’ Headz lands at Old Fountain Studios on the 6th of May. Third release tickets available here.
