French producer Darlyn Vlys drops his highly anticipated debut LP on Sincopat

“The Prince in the Rain”, that is the title chosen by the French artist Darlyn Vlys aka Sylvain Soulier for his debut LP, now published via AFFKT’s Sincopat imprint. The artist is not a rookie at all, having already published EPs on labels such as Get Physical, Upon You, Suara, My Favorite Robot and of course Sincopat. While it is true on this full length we are going to find his less muscled side –for this, let’s wait for the remixes packs- and yes more eclectic.

Get ready to find this time 11 gems built with melodic structures wisely assembled fragments of electronica: fragile melodies, vocal notes, snapping percussive beats igniting an uncertain yet intriguing mood, sometimes just beautiful loops, and reflective pad chords… very cinematic sounds! A corner where coexist from synth pop halfway cheerfulness and introspection -shoegaze, dream pop- to atmospheric textures of organic house and deep techno.

Darlyn Vlys is backed up for this occasion by the collaborations of the Australian singer Haptic, Andreas Kubat, lead singer of the alt-rock and electro German band Northern Lite as well as the Belgian Rari, Kid Bucle and of course AFFKT, on one of the main tracks (“Mustang”) the mastering and building a final mix of the overall project.

We are in the situation to attest the entire work connects perfectly well and without much effort can brings us on a beautiful and emotional level. For those ears who respond positively to the sound of Bonobo, Apparat, M83 and even Vangelis, give it a listen, then there will be two, three …
