Rise Music returns with its third release: The Ritual Remixed EP. Label founder Hyenah invited three of his favourite producers to bring their signature flavors to his own The Ritual EP. The A side, “You Made Me Who I Am”, gets two fantastically deep South African treatments.

Jonathan Kaspar takes aim at the quirky title track “The Ritual” and gives it his unique twist. Anyone familiar with his sound will find it unbelievable that JK is from Cologne in Western Germany and has never been to Africa – the juxtaposition is evident on his track “Maarifa”. Jonathan has a special talent for combining amazingly deep and soulful afro grooves with German precision sound engineering and straight-to-the bone energy. Plus, Jonathan is simply a great dude and phenomenal DJ. What more could you ask for in a remixer?
