Eklektisch welcome Isreali duo Jos & Eli, who bring an emotive new EP, ‘Odyssey’, to the fore with Norwegian legend Finnebassen coming through on remix duty. Kicking off with ‘Broken’, the duo immerse you straight into a thumping four-on-the-floor and melodic synth line that explodes into a spiralling range of haunting synth attacks. Sliding back the tempo with the slow burning ‘Instrumental Odyssey’, the duo lay an impressive range of emotive chord sequences, phasing and flanging them into distant swirls, driving basslines and exotic percussive displays. On the flip, Finnebassen teases with the originals chord work, driving it’s warm and melodic sequence into a burning overdrive to create a truly chilling atmospheric experience.
