Having released on the likes of Saved Records, NONSTOP, Bedrock and Get Physical music to name just a few, Italian producer and DJ Alex Kennon has quickly established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting names. With key residences at both Maceo Plex’s ‘Mosaic’ and Hot Since 82 pres. Labyrinth, Alex exploded as one of the most recognisable DJs in Ibiza. Now he’s lined up his summer as one of the hottest yet, already getting off to a strong start with The Social Festival Mexico. Further events in June take him to Barcelona, Belgium for Extrema Festival and finally round off the year at The BPM Festival in Portugal this September. This June we see him add to his growing catalogue of music with a debut EP on Oblack Label. 

Opening proceedings, ‘Misdeed’ sees the Italian effortlessly weave together organic percussion patterns, infectious drum fills and echoed out vocals, before handing over to Ninetoes to put his stamp on the production, building on the originals aesthetic by introducing skipping hats, rumbling sub tones and hypnotic synth sweeps. Last up, Kennon partners up with Romanian talent Just2 to deliver ‘Like This’, revealing the most up-front track and energetic production of the package as the duo raise the tempo and layer resounding kicks under acid tinged lead lines.
