Freerange present the third retrospective remixes compilation from their very own Jimpster. It’s fair to say that as well as being an experienced and in-demand DJ, golden eared A&R head, versatile and accomplished producer and song writer, Jamie Odell is perhaps most revered for his deft touch when it comes to remixing other artists. It’s something he has been drawn to and made a lot of time for from as far back as 1997 when he took on Lamb’s Gorecki. Since then Jimpster has lent his Midas touch to everyone from Bob Marley and Seal through to Adam Port, Detroit Swindle and Solomun, notching up towards two hundred remixes over the last twenty years. Many of these important productions were put together on two previous remix retrospectives, and now, Freerange release the third of these taking in highlights from 2008 through to 2017. With so many gems for them to choose from this release was never going to be an easy task to compile, so instead, they let the man himself dig through the vaults and pick his own personal favourites, resulting in an epic twenty seven tracks! From the more under the radar deep and underground blissed-out sounds of Galcher Lustwerk and Paxton Fettel through to big hitters such as Osunlade’s classic Momma’s Groove (still getting hammered by Moodymann on a regular basis), this compilation is testament to an artist who remains relevant and continues to impress after two and a half decades in the business. You can listen to the full premiere of his remix of Seal’s ‘Here I Am’. Enjoy !

Release date : July 6th, 2018.
