‘Burning Sun’ to host Montreal’s first Klassified Showcase

Once one has tasted this type of Saturday, it’s difficult to envision another scenario; secluded, solar, pulsing with deep melodies and cheerful chatter, Burning Sun spreads its wings over the Abreuvoir terrace every two weeks for a beaming afternoon that leads into an effusive evening. This passionate gathering methodically nurtured by Floral Nights and NoiseFloor Records unites a growing community of natural music lovers; no frills, no pretence, just uninhibited adoration of wisely curated grooves in cozy company.

The next edition will fuse the synergetic sounds of Berlin sweetheart Sam Shure [Stil vor Talent] and Dutch musical adventurers Parallells [Klassified, Crossings, Bar 25]. These artists share the values of Burning Sun: focus on community, immersive spaces, and a passion for sweeping and innovative vibes that pave the way for euphoric moments on the dance floor. We’ll be lucky to catch them fresh off their Burning Man performances, bringing back some playa magic to sprinkle into our evening.

Sam Shure and Parallels have cultivated a distinct space within the deep house and melodic techno ecosystem; their art is stirred by nature and culture alike, paved with modern reinterpretations of traditional sounds and smart absorption of inspirations from all surroundings, whether familial, geographical, folkloric or artistic.

The Dutch brothers of Parallells are the co-founders of Klassified Records; more than a label, a driven community of inspired souls, a state of mind that aligns well-being with music. Their first festival sprouted across the French Riviera for its second edition last July bringing the coastline novel ways and spaces to interact with art while awakening all senses. Beyond past performances by Âme, Audiofly, Jonas Saalbach or Luca Bacchetti, Deep Klassified Festival houses meditation, Reiki and yoga workshops, food from all over the world, body-painting, and exhibition spaces.

Sam Shure unquestionably belongs on your radar. Young, humble and talented, he’s already made a powerful mark across quintessential European venues with his harmonious brand of layered, Oriental, explorative deep house. Inspired by a Jazz maestro of a father specializing in the sounds of the Egyptian Oud, Sam has sparked the curiosity of many aficionados – and he’s only beginning.

With plants streamed across walls and ceiling and delicious ambient red lighting that envelopes the terrace come nighttime, this space has already provided memorable moments to the local scene. Completing the beautiful tableau, the magnetic Burning Sun resident DJs Andres Velila [NoiseFloor Records] and Dexter Crowe will propel punchy warm-up rhythms while guest locals Döppel Mind and Rodhjigger bring the same melodic steam that made last edition a resounding success.

Catch you on the terrace for some addictive sounds and sways.
