Sag & Tre release their fourth EP with David Soto giving us a taste of his Swedish and Spanish roots. Casually melting dreamy, lakeside childhood memories into two flowing pieces of incredible art, David Soto’s EP is a welcome grower. “Clave” gently flows through beds and banks of a little stream. The energy is carefully balanced to reach a wonderful breakdown, leaving you breathless and full of warmth. Picking up again right after the breakdown, with acres of space to lose yourself in, “Clave” continues to inspire with its crisp hats, shakers, melancholic atmospheres, and esoteric percussions. “Sonidos” compliments the first track, by offering something that’s more stripped down. More prominent guitar strings flow across this piece of art. Along with fantastic drum programming, “Sonidos” might just want to make you walk to your nearest forest to find a small stream to sit down near, and listen to this EP.
